The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre opened in Chennai in 1989.As a branch of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres founded in 1959 by Swami Vishnu-devananda, disciple of Swami Sivananda, it's aim is to promote the use of the ancient science of Yoga for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and to thereby create a more peaceful world.
