Sri AdiSankara Bagawadpada reestablished Sanatana Dharma in this Great Country 2,500 years ago by vanquishing 72 Religions opposed to our Dharma within his short life span of 32 years. He founded the Shan-mathas and establised Mutts at Singeri, Dwaraka, Badri and Puri to propogate Advaitha. Finally he came to Kanchi, founded Sri Kamakoti Peetam and adorned it as its first pontiff. |
