Shubhada is an exponent of the Bhaskarbua Bakhle gayaki, - a rich blend of Gwalior, Agra & Jaipur gharanas. While in college, she started learning music under the tutelage of Pandit Manikbua Thakurdas, the erudite scholar & musicologist & the only veteran musician in India of this gayaki, which he has inculcated in her, teaching her traditionally known & rare ragas and thumris.
